What is a balloon payment?

A lump sum payment that is paid at the end of the loan term is called a balloon payment.  This end of loan payment means that during the loan not all of the loan principle is paid off.  This balloon payment reduces the caravan loan repayments throughout the term of the loan.  At the end of the loan the balloon amount can either be paid off in full or refinanced.  Using our caravan loan calculator you can determine how a balloon payment will affect your repayments.
